Are there any business development tools or social media groups that you find helpful?
We belong to a number of Facebook groups for event rental and photo booth professionals and have learned a TON from the members of these groups about starting, growing, and managing our business. We've also been part of local Chambers of Commerce that have provided great opportunities for networking and growth.

What is the best business advice you can offer to someone who is just getting started?
Do your research. Learn as much as you can about the industry you are looking to get into. Learn about competitors in your chosen industry. Determine how you will fit into the industry and what will make you unique. Don't try to do everything yourself, hire people to do things for you that you may not have the skills to do - accountants, lawyers, graphic design, marketing, etc. No small business person is an expert in all areas.

What motivated you to start your business?
I was gifted a similar necklace and decided I wanted to try and make something similar. I also was a teacher at the time and knew I wanted to stay home with my children one day and to do this I still needed something to keep me busy.

Be all in from the beginning! Anything is possible.
